Halloween is just upon us and you’re in for a treat! Sounds of October features freaky music, from horror classics, punk twists, gothic rock and some spooky tunes to get your heart racing.
A friendly start with moon walking zombies from Michael Jackson‘s ‘Thriller’, AC/DC’s ‘Highway to Hell’ quickly takes a detour into the sublime with menacing theme music from John Carpenter‘s ‘Halloween’, The Omen featuring Midnight Reapers, only to descend further into horror-vile with the likes of theme tracks from The Exorcist, The Shining and Akira Yamaoka‘s ‘Creeping Distress’ from Silent Hill.
This is one creepy playlist guaranteed to get those hairs on the back of your neck rising!
Buried in the scary mix you’ll also find ‘Haunted’ by Evanescence, ‘Ghosts’ by Anathema, Twin Peaks Theme (Angelo Badalamen), Nine Inch Nail’s ‘Head Like A Hole’, Emile Autumn with ‘Dead Is The New Alive’, and rising Irish stars, Fontaines D.C., with ‘Chequeless Reckless’, Priorland’s ‘Ruins Of A Gypsy’ and Sylk’s ‘Liquid’.
Dig deeper and you’ll hear music from German bands, ASP, In Extremo, Rammstein, OOMPH with tracks, ‘Ich Will Brennen – Horror Vacui’, ‘Liam – Galische Version’, ‘Feurer Frei!’, und ‘Labyrinth’, respectively.
If there are any particular artists you’d like to see on beatvyne’s ‘Sounds of’ let us know, or invite them to join the beat here and we’ll make sure to feature them next time round.
